Gangwon-do is bounded on the west by Gyeonggi-do province, on the south by the provinces of Chungcheongbuk-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do, and on the east by the East Sea . To the north lies the province's North Korean counterpart, Kangwon province. The province's landscape is dominated by the Taebaek Mountains ( Taebaek Sanmaek ) which almost reach the sea. Background of "Gangwon-do - The Center of the World"
"Gangwon-do - The Center of the World" has been set as the top goal for the Gangwon provincial government in order to cast off the stigma of local alienation and of being behind the times, and transplant a "Can-do" self-confidence into the province.
This goal has been in the works since the 3rd popularly elected provincial government was launched in 2002, followed by the launch of the 4th popularly elected provincial government in 2006 |

- Salary: 2.1-2.85mil won

- Teaching Hours: 22 hours per week
- 300,000 won Settlement pay upon teacher is arrival

- Original proof of enrollment must show completion of at least two academic years

- 1 sealed transcript sent to woknplay. 2 sealed transcripts to take with you to the Korean Consulate/Embassy when you apply for the E2visa.
- Apostilled nationwide Criminal Record Check
- Should be done on a nationwide and should be verified by an Apostille.
- Applicants from Canada or other countries that do not have an agreement with the Apostille Convention should submit a criminal record check notarized by the Korean Consulate/Embassy; however, Korean residents who have a criminal record check from one of the foreign diplomatic offices in Korea are exempt from the apostille verification process
- Verification should be issued by official institutions (of the applicant's government in his/her country or by foreign diplomatic offices in Korea) and must have been issued within 6 months at most before submitting all the required documents.

- (If applicable) Copies of certification (teacher certification, TESOL, etc)
- (If applicable) Proof of teaching/work experience
- Copy of citizenship or a copy of legal residence certificate(for Ksorean nationals)
- If English is not your first language (born in a non-English speaking country), then you must be able to provide proof of English education beginning from junior high school level.
