LCI Academy operates American kindergarten program, ILT specialized taking tests, International Education Development Center, Overseas Student Exchange program and Teacher's Training Center in USA and Canada. Also we set up sisterhood relationship With 80 elementary, junior-high and high schools through overseas and build
an interchange network with George Washington university and BSU.
Purpose of Establishing
LCI Academy was established to create English Education Institutes with both an educational responsibility and the power to instill the passion for studying in children. In other words, our goal of English education has been focused on only grammar, reading comprehension and entrance examinations. And although English education is very important, concerns and investment have been neglected. Therefore LCI Academy was established to cultivate children to learn English not only as "American Language" but also as "International Language" so that that can have an eye of the world.

Characteristic
LCI Academy's curriculum has been made by hundreds of foreign professors and Korean researchers for about 10 years. The unique curriculum is based on practical and empirical results from self-teaching and experiencing and also organized to make children show their ability and give full scope to their potential energy. Moreover, it has been proved that the program is formed integrating listening, speaking, reading and writing so that children can learn delightfully.

Details of Curriculum
1. Language Acquisition
LCI Academy has unique methods including games, songs, plays and so on to make children acquire listening and speaking through natural environment.
2. Letter Acquisition
It helps children express the meaning of sound by reading letters and sentences.
3. Story telling / Reading English Fairytale Books
From short and simple sentences to long sentences, the books have each step to make children listen to story-telling and read and understand by themselves.
4. Self-Expression Time
Children will have time to tell a story about their favorite things, photos, books and so on as a main character so that they improve self-confidence and expression ability.
5. Special Activity Program
We provide various special activities such as Internet, Kids Excel, science, painting, arithmetic, craft, paper work, experimentation, gymnastics, character-building and so on to make children develop evenly their intellectual, aesthetic and emotional senses. These programs will be changed every day and motivate children to learn.

Details of Curriculum
1. Schedule
An hour and half a day, 3 days or 2 days a week (Mon/Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu)
2. Contents
This Activity Book stage provides students with 15 volumes of Elementary Course Workbook and Up and Phonics 6 so that students can develop their listening comprehension through LCI Academy's unique methods such as stories, games and chant for 15 months. Especially, students will learn elementary pronunciation through Storytelling time witch their teachers read books as if they just tell stories. After 15 months of learning elementary pronunciation, students will begin to read from easy storybooks to various levels of books that are matched with each student's level. Black Series Stage 6 as Advanced level has storybooks with over 1800 wards and students will read and discuss them that mean the students already get on the track of their English. This Activity Book stage leads students to get access to English without homework and tests. From Reading Storybook stage, students will have homework and tests.
Teaching at LCI
You will teach children aged from4 to 14 years old. Most children come from relatively wealthy families. They are generally well-behaved and very respectful.
Any parent/teacher communication which is necessary will be handled by one of the bilingual Korean teachers.
Korean teachers and foreign teachers strive to create a teaching environment based on cooperation and mutual
 
understanding. Many kids at LCI have a good grasp of English and they are quite competent in conversation.
Your role is to help students develop their verbal communication skills and to acquaint them with North American accent. Most students also study grammar and writing in their regular school programs as well.
To help get new teachers up to speed, all teachers are given a thorough training on LCI curriculum, the materials and methodologies before their teaching.
During your stay, all LCI staff supports and guides you to make your living memorable in Seoul.
Working Conditions

• Locations: Gangnam, Seocho, Mokdong, Bundang,
   Ilsan, Incheon, Daegu, Busan and other 28 branches in
   throughout Korea
• Teaching Hours: 30 hours a week/ 9:30am ~ 7:30pm
• Teaching lever: Kindergarten to Junior
• Salary: 2.0~2.4 million won
• Foreign Coworkers: 8~15
• Benefits: Full benefits(air ticket, single housing, medical
   insurance, end of bonus and visa sponsor, holiday, offer
   H.P, 2 times bonus 400,000KRW)
LCI Teacher Benefits

A native teacher of English gets a very competitive salary of approximately 2.4~ Million Won based on 130 teaching hours per month. (CAD$2800~, US$2400~). There is a low income tax (3-5%).

- Medical insurance is supported by us.
   (50% coverage by employer).
- Two weeks holidays are paid including all the national
   holidays of Korea.
- Overtime teaching is optional and paid.
- Upon the completion of the contract, LCI offers severance
   pay equivalent to the amount of monthly salary.
- Housing is provided by LCI. Each teacher will have a
   private bedroom and will share a kitchen and bathroom.
   Furnishings provided by us for common use: a kitchen
   table and chairs, a two-burner gas range, a refrigerator,
   a telephone, a television, and a washing machine.

Qualifications

To become an EFL teacher in Korea, you must meet the criteria given below.
- English must be your native language
- You must hold a first degree (BA/or BS)
Note: A TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certificate without a university/or 4 year college degree does not qualify you for E-2 work visa.
