Testimonials
My recruiter at Work'n'play Miya Kim really worked hard for me in very trying circumstances. That's because the initial job she helped broker for me with Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education fell through with me having to suddenly jet off to UK for my fathers funeral. As I hadn't been in UK for many years I decided to

make a holiday of it for several months to catch up with relatives and help Mom to readjust to life without Dad. This then meant having to jump through complicated UK bureaucratic hoops which delayed my employability further. I won't bore the reader with details. After time in the UK as it was mid semester and public schools weren't yet hiring for the next semester I decided to head off to Thailand and do some volunteer teaching in High School whilst awaiting for the next semester to roll around. This meant that my criminal record check obtained in the UK with much effort had by then expired as a usable document for getting work in South Korea! Hmmmmmmmffff! More bureaucracy! Miya stuck by me all this time though (about 9 months in all) displaying a patience and determination to get me a decent job despite all the various twists and turns. She was encouraging and persistent, and I felt I had a 'Korean fighter' on my side which bolstered me through a rocky patch in my professional life. Finally with her help I secured a job in two Public Elementary Schools in Kyoungsangnamdo. The district wasn't my first choice to be honest, yet Miya was wise enough to recognize that as I'd lived in this district before I may well enjoy it a second time. The job itself has not been without it's trials and tribulations as I've had to adjust to Korean life again and to the idiosyncrasies of the public schooling system. The schools I'm working in have gone through considerable changes in a short period of a few months too with personnel changes as well as structural changes to the actual buildings. However, overall I'm very content and things are going very well. After my first semester on the job I start my summer camp with students from two Elementary schools combining for the first time which is an honor. None of this would have been possible without the help of Miya and Work'n'play. I have a clear sense that after a bumpy period my career is back on track and won't hesitate to call upon Work'n'play in future for procuring other jobs. I recommend her and Work'n'play to anyone looking for a recruiting company that is prepared to advocate strongly on their behalf in a very professional and caring manner.

Sincerely,

Stephen Gee B. Soc Sci. Dip Edu. Cert TESOL.

Hi!

My name is Wilhelm Laufs. I am from South Africa and have been teaching English in South Korea for about a year and five months now.

At the end of 2009 I was working at a
Private English Academy in the city of Cheongju, located in Cheongcheongbukdo province, South Korea. I really enjoyed my first year in Korea, and it was certainly worth it, to come and teach on the other side of the world. Thus, I decided to stay for a second year, but because I wanted to keep it fresh I selected to apply for a job in the public school setup. Some of my friends were already in the program and I could gather that they were happy and enjoying the new environment and advantages of teaching for the Korean Government.

So, I started scoping out some jobs on Dave's ESL cafe and this is how I got in touch with Work n Play. I sent them my resume and promptly they arranged for an interview with EPIK. Once I got accepted into the program I still had to get all my documents sorted, before my desired location could be finalized. Work n Play and their professional staff guided me through the process every step of the way. They always replied to my questions and queries punctually and in a friendly manner, which made it possible for me to relax and enjoy my vacation back home.

It has been three months since I have been back in Korea for round number two. I am really enjoying the teaching, cultural experience and everything that Korea has to offer.

It gives me great pleasure to vouch for Work n Play as an extremely honest and professional recruitment agency. I will surely refer them to anyone who is interested in teaching English in Korea.

Feel free to give me a call

Sincerely
Wilhelm Laufs

If you are interested in teaching aboard and experiencing the fascinating combination of both traditional and modern Asian culture, WorknPlay would be the agency to help get you started & for sure you'll be in good hands. Staffs at WorknPlay are very nice and helpful, especially Ms. Miya Kim, an extremely
helpful, friendly and professional consultant whom always replies email promptly. Miya has helped me a lot throughout the process from sending my application, answering all my questions to picking up my bags and leaving for South Korea. I am now happily working at a Middle Public School in Daejeon, a beautiful city and surrounded by nice & warm hearted people. Thanks, Miya for all your help, you're awesome!! ^0^

I was thinking about teaching English as a foreign language in Korea and so I sent off an email to worknplay to try and get some more information about what my options were. I received an email back from Miya Kim in no time, and I believe it was the best thing that could have happened to my chances of teaching in

Korea! She immediately laid out my options and within a very small space of time I found myself on the phone having an interview! Miya was very interested in how I was doing and phoned me up many times to see my progress and ask me questions to try and gauge what I was suited for. I didn't manage to pass that interview, but her experience and knowledge about getting people teaching in Korea really shone through and within a few months I was teaching in a public middle school in Incheon! I really am very grateful to Miya Kim for helping me achieve my dream.

As soon as we said "We want to go teach in Korea" I looked online and immediately found WorknPlay's website and emailed Miya. Within an hour, I got an e-mail back with instructions for starting the application process. My husband and I were worried about being able to find a job but Miya assured us that it would be

no trouble. Miya fielded my stream of constant question with such great deftness that I thought she was a native english speaker herself. I really appreciated the telephone calls when there was important news. I know she had to have been working hard for us. I feel like as soon as we got in touch with her we had a job! Instead of having to email several places looking for work, we just had to email one person and she found the job for us. After talking to her nearly every day for 4 months, I felt like she was a friend. I felt a little nervous about the whole moving thing, but Miya was so reassuring and supportive that my worries were eased. She told us everything worked out and we would be in Korea by the end of February. And sure enough, here we are, teaching at great schools and living in a nice apartment right across the street from work. You can't beat a five minute walk! The city is great and everyone in Korea is so nice that you feel right at home and welcome wherever you go. I would recommend teaching in Korea to anyone (I've already started trying to talk my friends into it) and definitely going through Miya at WorknPlay to find you a job. She did all the work for us!

I was looking for a teaching job in South Korea but was a bit overwhelmed by all the online sites and agencies offering work. It was difficult to decide which one to choose. I was referred to WorknPlay and made instant contact with Miya Kim and her team. Miya was extremely helpful and professional throughout the whole
application process, answering questions, giving advise on different programs and keeping me informed on a regular basis. She has a high level of English and guided me in a competent and organized way through the whole process. I was impressed when she called me more than once to update me regarding specific matters. Through Miya I applied for different programs but in the end I landed a very secure job with EPIK (English Program in Korea). I am now working in an Elementary Public School in Daejeon, a big city just one hour south of Seoul. I love my job and environment and I would definitely recommend WorknPlay to anyone looking for the perfect teaching job in this amazing country. You will be in good hands!

If you want to teach abroad, I would highly recommend WorkNPlay to help you get started on your way to teaching in South Korea. The staffs at WorkNPlay are wonderful and very helpful. There is a lot of preparation and requirements that goes into starting a new teaching job abroad and the staff at WorkNPlay are

simply the best at helping you along every bit of the way. From the time of the application to the time of pick up at the airport, WorkNPlay staff members Miya and Mina performed their jobs knowledgeably and promptly. Even now, their supervision still remains for any worst case scenarios one may have. My regards to all of the WorkNPlay staff and best wishes for any future candidates.

"My boyfriend Dante and I wanted to work in Korea but, as a couple, our chances of finding two jobs in the same city (let alone the same province) seemed slim. For months we were getting nowhere until we were referred to Miya Kim from WorknPlay. I'd found in the past that a lot of recruiters have a vague "I'll maybe find you a job but
I'm not promising anything" attitude, but Miya was completely different. She was very friendly and motivated and always happy to answer my constant stream of questions; as an added bonus she probably holds a world record for the quickest time in replying to emails! Step by step she guided us through the visa process and barely a few weeks later we had jobs. Dante and I now live in a lovely coastal city and work at great schools; we also have apartments in the same building so our worries about a long-distance relationship proved unfounded. Dante and I would like to thank Miya so much for all her help and would recommend her without hesitation. If you want a great teaching job in Korea, her email address is all you need to know!"

I had great trepidation about moving from Hagwon to Public School in South Korea. I did not want to move out of my comfort zone but I was looking for a change. I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to Miya Kim of Work & Play Consulting for making this move for me from Hagwon to Public School a smooth

and easy transition. Miya's commitment and hard work allowed me to relax and not stress about the usual tedious application process. Miya's expertise and efficiency made the whole application process seem effortless. Miya is always on hand to offer any help and support needed, and quick to reply to any queries or problems. Thanks to them I now have a great job teaching in a High School in Seoul. Don't waste your time with other agencies who see you as just another number.
